It’s a single droplet
Of the splendid sun
The shingles reflect in couplet
But one.
Storm me with the light.
Oh, the flames of shades
I cannot fathom,
Burning in his eyes, spades
Of green, and forlorn
Tides have changed.
Parting away – abode in disarray.
It’s the pain.
Speckles of black
Hidden in the spark
Of the fog, muted.
Succumb to the story unsung.
And back in the circle.
Between the lines,
Read the faces
Make a sign,
Souls clash and one at last.
Only a lie that resounds, alone in the dark.
