Mood music (Tamil): Enna Solla Pogirai (Meaning: What are you going to say?) from Kandukondain Kandkondain (I have seen, I have seen)
A beginning with no end,
The tantalizing promise
In the midst of this maze,
With your words
Barricading the space,
She’s caught. For now.
Forever, the northern wind,
Ready to storm away.
Wind the flow of time,
The lady remains.
A soothing lullaby plays,
And she lies
Beneath the silver lining.
The clouds pass
And the flower turn bright,
The hues
Burst through her turbulent plight.

Poet’s Note: What inspires you, dear reader? Its stormy in Philadelphia today, and I’m listening to an old, romantic Tamil song from 18 years ago. I find myself drawn to melodies that are not so melancholy during the storm, and hype music (especially by Yuki Hayashi) when night arrives. It’s a wonderfully weird combination, that thrives on the opposites. Do you feel the same way? Good morning!
